I took some pictures recently for a Denver law firm’s new website. The new website design will incorporate pictures of several recognizable Denver landmarks. This was a really fun project. A little different for me, as it did not involve photographing people. And, this project ended on an exciting note: I nearly got arrested trying to get the last shots at the Denver International Airport! Apparently, cars are not allowed to stop along the side of the roads leading to and from the parking lots and passenger drop off points. Oops!
Denver Landmark Pictures
May 4, 2010 - 4:54 pm - Great photos Marilee! Glad they didn't end with shots from the inside of the slammer.
Boulder Massage Therapist Pictures
This spring I had the opportunity to photograph the very talented massage therapist, Amanda McCracken, in action. She will be using some of my images on her website: http://www.ubnbalance.com. I can’t wait to see the new and improved website! Also, I can’t wait to get another massage!
Boulder Family Portrait
I photographed Megan, Jeff, and Kaelyn last week at Chautauqua Park in Boulder. Kaelyn loves to fly. Flying babies are about the cutest thing in the world. So are smiling, happy babies like Kaelyn. Thank you Megan for letting me photograph your family again. Best of luck to you with your big move!
May 2, 2010 - 11:21 pm - i love flying babies too! beautiful photos.
Zephyr and Robert’s Beaver Creek Wedding
I had the honor of photographing Zephyr and Robert’s wedding last weekend at SaddleRidge in Beaver Creek. They are a gorgeous couple! Their wedding was small, intimate, and touching. It snowed off and on all day on Saturday, and I am so glad we were able to take some photographs out in the snow. Here are some of my favorite images.

April 8, 2010 - 1:44 pm - Unbelieveably beautiful! It helps to have such a beautiful bride! It also brought tears to my eyes - especially the picture of her father's embrace. You've captured the intimacy of the event and the love that surrounds them - thank you!

Welcome to my new blog. I will also be launching my new website very soon.
Kelly and Matt's Boulder Wedding
I photographed Snow White’s Wedding! Kelly and Matt had an outdoor wedding the Saturday after our first snow of the year. There was still snow on the ground, snow in the trees, and snow on the Flatirons at Chautauqua Park. This was truly a photographer’s dream. Gorgeous!! Not to mention that Kelly, Matt, and their families were fantastic subjects. What a fun wedding! One of the best parties I’ve seen all year. The reception was complete with a limbo contest and three pinatas. I am so happy I was able to be a part of this event. It was truly a pleasure to photograph.

October 24, 2009 - 3:05 pm - Gorgeous, Marilee! They're beautiful, especially the ones at Chataqua!
October 26, 2009 - 1:11 pm - Kelly, These photos are breath taking!I just loved the festive joy written all over everyone's faces! The excentric pinata's and the awesome footware! Everything looked like it was the party of a lifetime! Your father however....now those photos are the ones that had me in tears! There is nothing more emotionally striking to me than the expression of love and pride on his face, as a parent, from the moment his children were born you become his whole world, and the emotions he shows in these pictures says far more than anything a person could ever say. I can just read him as a parent, a father, a man with such pride. That's why those photos seemed to strike deeply with me. You can see what a great man he is from these photos. Thank you for sharing these with me! What a beautiful day! Congratulations!!
October 26, 2009 - 5:44 pm - Whoa, I knew the snow-kissed Flatirons were beautiful, but who would have guessed they'd be downright breathtaking when coupled with an equally beautiful couple. Great work Marilee!
November 9, 2009 - 4:56 pm - Thank you for taking such great pictures of my dear friend Kelly's wedding! You do great work and have provided many happy memories for the entire family! Thank you again! Kelly DeBardelaben < :)
February 2, 2010 - 11:07 pm - Beautiful work! It was a pleasure meeting you at the bridal fair the other day. :)
Amy and Aaron's Boulder Engagement Portrait
I love fall colors! The Boulder Creek was the perfect backdrop for fall engagement pictures of Amy and Aaron. We left the creek for downtown Boulder, where Amy, Aaron and I strolled through back alleys. Amy and Aaron are a fun couple! During our session, they were up for anything. I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next summer!

October 22, 2009 - 2:40 am - LOVE them! Congrats & enjoy all the planning for your life together!! Ande (your mom's tennis bud)
Jessica and Mike's Engagement Session at Red Rocks
I recently photographed Jessica and Mike’s engagement sesssion at Red Rocks. During our session, we crawled around on rocks in the park and enjoyed the surrounding scenery. We also visited the Red Rocks Amphitheater. I learned that the Amphitheater is not just used for summer concerts. Apparently, it is also a prime spot for working out. During our session, we saw many people running up and down the amphitheater steps. Since Jessica and Mike have participated in the Saturday morning workout sessions at Red Rocks, I asked them to show me a couple of their favorite exercises (see below!) We also had fun hanging out on the Red Rocks stage. Jessica and Mike are a fun and easy-going couple, and I am excited to be working with them!

Shannon and Tim's Boulder Wedding
Shannon and Tim were married earlier this month on the CU Boulder campus. This was the perfect location for their wedding, since Shannon and Tim met while attending CU. Because they are such enthusiastic CU football fans, we took lots of pictures at Folsom Field. This was a fun challenge for me, as I am not very knowledgeable about football. Before their wedding, I researched football positions, so I could position the wedding party into offensive linemen and the backfield. We all had the pleasure of being greeted by a fox while taking pictures both inside and outside of the CU stadium. That was quite a surprise! Congratulations Shannon and Tim!

Valerie and Pete's Denver Wedding
Valerie and Pete are a tender, sweet couple. Every couple getting married are in love, but this couple’s love for one another was off the charts! Pete was kissing Valerie’s hand all day and evening during their wedding at the Inverness Hotel. So beautiful to witness!
